“These small children have been by way of so a lot,” reported Andrew Holmes, community activist and head of the Andrew Holmes Foundation. “We want to do one thing to modify that soreness.
Holmes has been an advocate for victims of violence for decades. He arranged the party with the Schofield Foundation and other teams.
“It can be uplifting for the police to be right here far too, supporting us,” claimed Rushonda Walker, mother of Damia Sheppard. “I loved it, our kids were savoring by themselves.”
Sheppard, 8, was shot in the arm in July even though inside a relative’s house. Outside the house, her mother was grazed shielding her infant brother. Another relative was shot and did not endure.
“I will not believe it is really fair, because they wouldn’t like it if it transpired to them,” Sheppard said.

“This has been a rough yr, it really has,” stated Walker.
6-year-previous Aubrey Broughton survived a taking pictures past August that killed her sister Serenity. These days she was showered with presents.

Two-yr-old Ella Harris, sleeping soundly after the day’s pursuits, was shot in the arm in Oct.
