Concerts & downtown activities highlight bustling evening in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It was a bustling evening in downtown Jacksonville on Thursday.

3 big events — all in the identical location: The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game, a Justin Bieber live performance at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and the Jax River Jams live performance on the riverfront.

Fans flocked to the the arena to see Justin Bieber execute. Bridget Powell and Annabelle Rowland say they are most effective friends who bonded about his tunes.

“She has a card board cutout of him,” Powell explained of her pal.

“My grandma bought it for me for my 16th birthday,” Rowland proclaimed.

Across the street, enthusiasts filled the ballpark for a Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game.

And Riverfront Plaza was also chaotic, as bands like Sister Hazel performed at the Jax River Jams.

All of these functions made some congestion on the roadways.

Thomas Mosca, who went to Jax River Jams, mentioned he strike some targeted visitors — and Mother Character did not assist.

“The rain was coming down like cat’s and canine,” Mosca said.

“Beliebers” — like 9-yr-old Kynley Reeves — say this was smaller selling price to spend to get to see their most loved pop-star.

“I am in like with him. He is so cute,” Kynley mentioned.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was out all evening helping to immediate targeted traffic in the place.
