Laurane “LaLa” Sheehan, a longtime corporate leisure publicist and situations planner, died Nov. 11 of a unexpected heart assault.
Sheehan was a senior accounts supervisor at Maggie Begley Communications for 30 many years, wherever she labored with clientele including LAIKA, Locksmith Animation, the Gotham Group, the Oneida Indian Nation, Vista Group, Movio, Cinedigm, Anheuser-Busch, children’s writer Tony DiTerlizzi and Benenson Productions.
She aided market movies together with “Kubo and the Two Strings,” “Missing Link,” “Coraline,” “The Invisible War,” “Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World” and “Beasts of No Nation.”
Her longtime buddy and colleague Maggie Begley mentioned, “What a pleasure it is to work with your finest close friend. We laughed with abandon each single day. I considered that form of laughter was the ticket to a lengthy life…but the universe had other programs for our wonderful and gifted Laurane. She’s with her parents now, her beloved Elvyra and Roy…and most most likely will whilst away eternity taking part in unlimited games of Scrabble. She loved becoming component of the film market, delighted in the artistry of our purchasers and was a shining gentle and spirit to all she encountered. Relaxation in peace my pal.”
Starting up out as a phase, tv and commercials actress, Sheehan arrived in Los Angeles in 1983 in a touring production of “Woman of the Yr,” starring Lauren Bacall.
She turned the initially government director of the New music Movie Producers Affiliation and the government producer of the organization’s initially MVPA Awards, bringing world awareness to the audio video clip sector in its infancy.
